Ever since the age of three, I have highly enjoyed video games and was always curious about how they were made. Around the age of seven, I started to code basic programs with Scratch. Since then, I’ve learned to use many different programming languages and have coded things such as Lego robots, video games, and more. I attend multiple STEM-related programs, such as Accel Learning, Curiosity Lab, ID Tech Camp, and Rocket Club, where I gained a lot of experience in STEM-related fields, such as coding and engineering, and more. I have been extremely passionate about this subject for a very long time.
I am a dedicated student. Throughout elementary and middle school, I never received anything less than an A on my report card, and in high school, I’ve been working hard, keeping up with whatever came my way. I was in the Gifted & Talented program throughout my time at Clarendon Elementary School. I have received extremely high scores on my state standardized tests, including the PSAT exam, where I scored 1160, landing in the 98th percentile of the 8th & 9th grades. I have been a finalist every year I entered the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee and the National Geography Bee. I currently attend High Tech High School, where I am one of the heads of the Model United Nations program. Through collaboration, I and other students represent the United Nations and try to solve real-world problems. Through Model UN, I have made many friends and participated in many conferences, one of which I won the “Best Delegate” award. I also participate in Students in Action, which is a community service/charity work program.
Aside from academics, I have many extracurricular interests and hobbies. I have been learning computer programming since I was seven; I started with Scratch and moved to other languages such as Java, Python, and C. I have also learned robotics and have won a silver medal in a Lego robotics competition. I have taken piano lessons since I was three years old. I am a blackbelt in Taekwondo. I run a YouTube Channel called UTuberKid, where I use Adobe Premiere to edit videos and then upload them to my channel. I have also been heavily focusing on storytelling recently, with a horror story currently in the works. My dream is to become a storyteller through gaming.
