Academics

Education

Clarendon Elementary School

I started my academic career in the Secaucus School District at Clarendon Elementary School. Throughout my time at Clarendon, I never got less than an A, and I was able to reach the Honor Roll every single marking period. This allowed me to be a part of the Gifted and Talented program. I took part in both the Spelling and Geography Bees whenever I could and was always a finalist for both.

Explore Middle School

In 5th Grade, I applied to Explore Middle School and was accepted. At Explore, I continued my straight-A streak, holding a 4.234 GPA. I have taken various CTE (Career and Technical Education) courses, including Video Editing, DFAB, and Computer Science. I joined the NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) and the Peer Leadership program. I even took Algebra 1 as my 8th-grade math class.

High Tech High School

In 8th Grade, I applied and was accepted into the DFAB program at High Tech High School. High Tech has been a growing experience for me. I am currently one of the leaders of High Tech’s Model UN program, where, through collaboration, I and other students represent the United Nations and try to solve real-world problems. Through Model UN, I have made many friends and participated in many conferences, one of which I won the “Best Delegate” award. I also participate in Students in Action, which is a community service/charity work program. I also focus more on coding and programming at this school, currently working with the programming language Kotlin in order to make Android applications.

Extracurricular

Accel Learning

Since the age of 7, I’ve attended Accel Learning, an after-school program where I learned to code. Starting off with Scratch, I eventually moved to bigger things, such as Clickteam, Stencyl, HTML, Java, C, and PyGame. In addition to this, I also started working with LEGO Robotics here at Accel, before eventually taking this skill and expanding upon it elsewhere.

Curiosity Labs

For a while, I had attended another program called Curiosity Labs, which I attended over various summer vacations.. I learned many different skills, such as robotics, cooking, book writing, and more. It was very diverse, as I’m sure you can see. Around 5th Grade, I found out that Curiosity Labs was looking for people to join a LEGO robotics team for the First Lego League competition. Our topic was Aqua Adventure, and our team, the Awesome Aquadons, won a silver medal.

Rocket Club

After this competition, I switched all of my robotics work to a program called Rocket Club. At Rocket Club, we made the world’s first robotic lemonade stand, helped fix a car prop for a movie, started a business using robotics, and created a controllable Hockey Bot. However, robotics isn’t all we do at Rocket Club. I personally have met billionaires such as Daymond John and Gary Vee, negotiated a business partnership with the New York Red Bulls, used Digital Fabrication to 3D Print a birdhouse, started a T-Shirt Brand, and more.

ID Tech

Over various summer vacations, I attended a program called ID Tech Camp. At this program, I’ve worked with many things. Some of these include video editing, ROBLOX game development, and engineering. Originally, these classes took place at Montclair State University, but after Covid hit, I took these courses from home.

HAP

Over this summer, I earned the opportunity to participate in the Higher Achievement Program (HAP). For the first half of the day, we worked on 3 majors skills. ELA, Math, and Writing. The second half of the day was the more fun part. We would play a random sport (Kickball, Soccer, Androball, Dodgeball, Basketball, Board Games), and then we would go to a class of our choice. I chose a class on comics and superheroes.
